Original image being used as a buffer for the squeamish.
I spotted this car before moving into my neighborhood. Then today this is what I saw.
I wonder what will happen to it from here. Sadly my guess is the scrap yard is in it’s future.

This is why we can’t have nice things.

Some things are not meant for this world.

I’d also be interested to know what the other car looked like.

Being the optimist that I tend to be...I’ve seen worse condition classics be restored, so I’m sure this could be properly restored, though it’ll certainly take some time and effort.

That is my second thought looking at that. Cars of that era didn't have crump zones and tended towards being heavy..

Liked a smunched aluminum can.

Ugh, a hit and run, I’m guessing? Fuck people who do that!

Unfortunately it’s a non-runner the owner has tried to sell for $1500 for months. If it was a running car or something the owner was working on I could see it being fixed for sure.

I hope not, but I wouldn’t be surprised.

Rear right wheel seems to have been pushed up onto the curb. Doesn’t seem like a normal parking job

They seemed to crumple pretty well to me.

Oh yeah, that’s going for scrap for sure. Wonder if he even had any sort of insurance on it at all?

Probably didn’t even bend the frame. Offer him $500 for it, fix it up, and have a comfy cruiser.

I had tried to talk the wife into it before it was damaged.
It sat with a For Sale sign asking $1500 for a few months before the wreck. She complained that we had nowhere to park it. She may have been correct, but I think that was a minor concern.

I mean you can probably buy it at scrap price now. Doesn’t hurt to look into it.....
